GB-Colchester: Renewal of Pitched Roofs - (0188)

Description

Colchester Borough Homes require an experienced contractor to undertake renewing the existing pitched roof coverings of a number of dwellings within the Borough of Colchester. The properties are spread throughout the borough of Colchester and are a mixture of bungalows and houses, ranging from Victorian to pre and post war construction, which are set in both rural and suburban locations with neighbouring dwellings bordering or linked to the properties identified for roof renewal. The works as stated in the specification will include the removal of asbestos, chimney repairs, renewal of repair of rainwater goods, fascia and soffits. The temporary disconnection, reconnection and /or relocation of overhead services, removal of redundant equipment from the roof structure. The renewal or 'topping up' of loft insulation to meet the requirements of Approved Document L of the Building Regulations. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
