Description

The Kent County Council has appointed a supplier for an Abandoned Vehicles Collection and Processing Service. The Provider will be required to remove abandoned vehicles, parts of vehicles, caravans, trailers (including lorry trailers) and the like, in a variety of conditions. Vehicles removed under this agreement are as follows: a) Vehicles which can be classified as a non-road worthy vehicle and are moved either for storage and subsequent collection by a third party, or directly for de-pollution and disposal by the Provider. b) Vehicles which are road worthy, cannot be destroyed immediately and which must be held in safekeeping by the Provider while ownership enquiries are carried out, but could subsequently be sent for de-pollution and disposal. c) Vehicles, which have been deemed ready to be destroyed, but which must be retained by the Provider until absolute confirmation has been received from the WCA/WDA that the vehicle can be destroyed.
