Work description

Cheshire East Council is looking for a new supplier for the delivery of Assistive Technology in the Borough. This service will deliver targeted support for local residents which addresses the following outcomes: • To enable people to maintain their independence in their own home and the wider community for as long as possible. • To help keep people safe, without removing their autonomy or unduly compromising their privacy. • To support informal carers and thus reduce the risk of carer breakdown. Key benefits of this approach will be the prevention of admission to hospital and residential care, and reduced levels of support required at home through formal care options. The service will build on pre-existing work around Assistive Technology in Cheshire East which will include supporting the current customer base of 2,976 users . The ability to effectively mobilise will therefore be key, as will be developing the service using robust evidence of impact.
