Year 3 Phonics Screening Check Pilot 2016

The Standards and Testing Agency (STA) is responsible for developing National Curriculum tests on behalf of the Department for Education (DfE). This contract is in relation to a voluntary pilot study into extending the Phonics Screening Check to Year 3 pupils in 300 schools. The main aim of the pilot is to inform future decision-making regarding possible national roll-out of the Phonics Screening Check to Year 3 pupils who do not meet the expected standard by the end of Year 2.
