Work description
NOTE: This notice was updated on 11 February 2016 for the following reason: Colchester Borough Council have withdrawn this tender opportunity. However this opportunity will be re-advertised in due course.Colchester Borough Homes requires a suitably experienced contractor to complete various building maintenance and repair works to a former Georgian mansion house. The building is a Grade I listed four storey (including basement) solid brick structure with a plain clay tile pitched roof. Hollytrees museum is located to the South side of Colchester Castle Park, the grounds of which are a scheduled ancient monument. The Building maintenance and repair works, including: (1) Roof Repairs, (2) Stonework Repairs, (3) Timber repairs, (4)Redecoration & (5) Brickwork repairs. (plus other associated works)
Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement. The closing date for expressing your interest via the portal is 17:00 hrs on Friday 29th January 2016. Completed tenders must be submitted in hard copy and on line via the portal by 12:00 (noon) on Monday 1st February 2016.
