Timeline
Description
An existing hangar at Jersey airport has outlived its original purpose as an aircraft hangar and has started to deteriorate in an unsafe manner. The recent adviser weather conditions have seen parts of the cladding being blown off and potentially causing injury or obstruction to airport operations. \r \r The cladding, in places, consists of asbestos containing material and therefore needs to be carefully removed in a controlled manner as a matter of public safety. \r \r The steel framed structure will be required to be dismantled with the metal work being recycled where possible for reuse, and the concrete floor slab foundations will be required to remain in place.
