The strategic appointment of a new Ice Core Group is bringing Royal Society Grant funding to the University, alongside a new cohort of academic staff who will increase RGCI and 4* REF output. This Group require a Freezer Room to store Ice Core samples for existing research commitments, and to provide the infrastructure to allow future bidding within this area. Call off is via the NEPO Framework for Building Construction Works (ref NEPO207), Lot 1 - Building Construction Works - Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and Durham (up to £2 million) with the 1st ranked contractor, Robertson Construction Ltd
