## Description

Cambridge City Council is looking to partner with an experienced training provider to deliver a comprehensive equality, diversity and inclusive training programme for staff and managers\. The training should focus on developing the skills and behaviours necessary to provide exceptional service, ensuring every customer interaction reflects professionalism, empathy and the Council's commitment to excellence\. This project will include the delivery of EDI courses as part of Council's mandatory induction programme, this entails approximately a once-a-month new induction programme with an average of 5-15 new recruits a month, post July 2025\. We will also require supplementary EDI support, additional training and guidance for the duration of the contract\. We are open to innovative and creative suggestions that fit within this overarching framework, ensuring the programme meets the diverse needs of our workforce, and the development of practical skills, relevance, engagement and long-term impact\. At the same time, we believe that the following areas would provide a strong foundation for the programme: • Understanding the principles of EDI • Recognising and challenging unconscious bias • Fostering inclusive communication • Embedding inclusive practices into everyday work life • Neurodiversity awareness The programme can be offered using a variety of flexible delivery methods - such as in person workshops, virtual sessions, and bitesize learning options that cater to a variety of learning styles and needs\. These methods need to be accessible, engaging and have a measurable impact across the workforce\.
