## Description

The provision of an Independent Visitors Service, where under the Children Act 1989, Authorities must provide any child or young person being looked after by the Authority the opportunity to have an independent visitor who can provide guidance, support and care where they have little of no contact with a parent or someone with parental responsibility for them\.
