## Description

The Authority intends to set up a framework agreement with a number of providers for the provision of up to ten pharmacy technician student placements per year\. These placements shall last for a two year period and shall lead to the award of the General Pharmaceutical Council \(GPhC\) recognised qualification of Level 3 Diploma \(National Vocational Qualification\) in Pharmacy Services Skills \(Competence\)\. This shall result in the student's registration with the GPhC\. This training shall incorporate a GPhC recognised course of underpinning knowledge such as the BTEC National Diploma Pharmaceutical Science \(Knowledge\) or Level 3 Diploma Pharmaceutical Science \(Knowledge\) and shall be undertaken through day or block release at college\.
