Work description
The London Borough of Redbridge (LBR) aims to support businesses overcome the challenges caused by socialising restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and also wants to ensure that businesses in Town Centres can re-open or restart their commercial activity in a successful way. The Council aims to identify the functions which each town centre provides for visitors and locals residents, including civic, health, social and leisure services, as well as retail and hospitality. To understand the strengths and opportunities of each town centre, the Council seeks to commission a thorough analysis of current consumer demand and supply factors, an examination of how town centre support programmes can enhance the prosperity of the town centres, how the development of local stakeholders groups can support the delivery of town centre actions plans and a refresh of the Health Checks carried out in the borough's town centres in previous years.
