## Description

Ofgem's statutory role is to protect the interests of current and future energy consumers and to promote consistently high standards of service across the retail energy market\. To support this, Ofgem requires a range of qualitative research methods across its work to provide insight into consumer experiences, perceptions and behaviours\. These insights are essential in helping Ofgem develop effective policies, communications and services\. Ofgem therefore expects to work closely with an independent research agency that understands its vision and objectives and can demonstrate strong expertise in delivering qualitative research services\. The agency must also have a sound understanding of the energy sector and Ofgem's role within it\.
