Supply & Delivery of Site Investigations at Civic Square, Chorley

Chorley Borough Council are seeking to appoint a supplier for the supply and delivery of Site Investigations at the Civic Square, Cleveland Street, Chorley. The objectives of these site investigations are to support future planning applications for redevelopment of the site and to support design stages, specifically:

• To investigate the subsurface strata below the existing site with respect to future foundations / hard standing construction.

• To determine the general chemical condition of site soils (suitability for re-use, remediation requirements & waste characterisation).

• To determine any contaminative impact on underlying groundwater and surface water.

• To determine risk posed by ground/ hazard gases to future buildings and site users.
