## Description

Aston University has a requirement for Security Officers and Security Services which are required on a contracted basis to the Library, Main Building Reception and the main Sports Pitch\. This requirement is to ensure the building and sports facilities are occupied by people entitled to be in it, to protect staff and students and ensure their safety whilst on campus\. The security provision in the library is to enable students to use the library building round the clock during exam and revision times and late at night\. Security Officers are expected to enforce University Policies and Procedures, for example ensuring students can be quickly and safely evacuated from the building in the event of a fire alarm activation\. Other tasks may be required to maintain a good working environment\.
