Coloured Desk Tops Waterview Park Washington

HMRC produced an Inclusive Design Guide (IDG) in 2019. Since its development, and from lessons learned, it has been established that having a mix of muted coloured desk top options provides a much better working environment for colleagues - particularly colleagues with neurodiverse concerns.

Waterview Park is remaining open until 2027 and staff are still using the desks provided when it opened, over 25 years ago. A project is underway to remove the tired desktops and replace them with white desktops from Shipley. This has presented an opportunity to procure and fit 35% coloured desktops at the same time.
