Work description

The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) is the UK's National Measurement Institute and is a world-leading centre of excellence in developing and applying the most accurate measurement standards, science, and technology available.

The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) requirement is for and HPLC system capable of high sensitivity analytics & purification for DNA. To avoid surface interactions, the system should be made of metal-free components in the sample flow path and the absence of iron and steel in solvent delivery lines is desired to preserve the integrity of biomolecules and minimize unwanted surface interactions.

The system should be capable of low pressure for traditional biopurification columns up to high pressure for sub-2-micron analytical biocolumns. High salt tolerance (2 M) and wide pH range (1-13, short term 14) with active seal wash and quaternary solvent blending and a multisampler designed for low carryover are a must.

The software should be user friendly and have features allowing for easy pH scouting and buffer preparation if required. It should come equipped with software allowing for peptide mapping, quantification and traceability if needed.
