## Description

In England and Wales, all litigation is managed by the GMC's in-house legal team\. In Scotland, the GMC instructs agent solicitors to conduct litigation and, where applicable, instruct Counsel - this work inevitably requires the agent solicitor to work closely with the GMC's in-house legal team, who provide all instructions\. The GMC has no solicitors authorised to act within the Scottish jurisdiction\.
