Description
The introduction and development of the new Geographical Compliance Approach (GCA) has allowed the National Minimum Wage team (NMW) to assess unknown risks and reach areas of the country that had been out of focus, providing forward looking information on where to focus investigations and encourage compliance. Actively using geographical information to target at risk employers and implementing a campaign of educational activities and health checks. We are looking to measure this ability to use upstream activity and health check support to influence behavioural changes, and levels of understanding, in the different population types. This will be done by testing the knowledge and attitudes of NMW obligations and rights both pre and post interventions to evaluate if we have effectively disseminated knowledge and has the populations' confidence and knowledge improved over time. There is no current departmental data that exists that would allow us to assess the efficacy of the intervention.
