## Description

The National Physical Laboratory \[NPL\] requirement is for a terahertz time-domain spectrometer to be used primarily for material characterisation\. The instrument will be used to measure THz optical properties of a wide variety of materials and many different types of samples\. It needs to be easily re-configurable for easy switching between measurements in transmission and reflection, and for different measurement configurations\. The primary requirement is for a large measurement bandwidth and a large dynamic range in both time-domain and frequency-domain data\.
