NWL CCG required a community ophthalmology service for adults with eye conditions that do not require input from the hospital eye service. Users require rapid and local access to professional advice and support.
Key services required by the provider include: - Diagnostics and monitoring using specialist ophthalmic equipment; - Counselling and support in shared decision making; - Treatment/prescribing for minor conditions; and - Onward referral to a specialist hospital eye service if required.
