The project aims to deliver eight major structural renewal schemes in the most efficient manner. The objectives of the project are to: - Repair each of the 8 structures to enable them to carry full design loading and remove any vulnerable details that could require significant future maintenance interventions - Ensure that the most critical structures are addressed earliest or as soon as possible - Minimise disruption to road users as far as reasonably practicable during construction The scheme has been broken down into 5 projects, creating an overall programme for the M6 Lune Gorge Bridge Renewal scheme:
