It's also important that the coaching encourages self-reflective and self-directed learning for the trainees. This support should be delivered by a qualified coach with a minimum level 5 in coaching and mentoring or an equivalent qualification. They also need to be a member of their relevant professional body. The support should also be relevant to the needs of doctors and dentists in all levels of postgraduate training.
