Description

To develop a 4-storey modular accommodation building to accommodate 85 bedspaces, plant rooms, storage and bin store Additional information: Option 3 from the Trusts short form business case was approved by the NHS New Hospital Programme which is the construction of modular on-site units. This included relocating the Trusts existing Zed Pods units (Captain Sir Thomas Moore House) to the new location for staff and student accommodation. The Trust is purchasing an additional 42 Zed Pod units to bring a total of 85 beds available for staff and students. This call off contract is a direct award under the Crown Commercial Services RM6184 Offsite Construction Solutions framework, Lot 3 Residential. The Trust considered running a competitive tender process. However, the programme milestones meant that this is not feasible. The availability of the accommodation in time for further demolition projects to commence is critical, and as such timely procurement of the accommodation is essential. A competitive tender process would not enable the programme to meet the timelines.
