DCS Upgrade for National Industrial Biotechnology Facility 2

CPI operates a facility called the National Industrial Biotechnology Facility 2 (NIBF2) at the Wilton Centre, Redcar on Teesside. This is a scale-up facility which was built to test and demonstrate the application of new sustainable processes in the area of Industrial Biotechnology. CPI would like to upgrade / replace our current ABB 800xA DCS system with a suitable industry leading DCS to suit our business unit needs. During this process the winning supplier of the new DCS system is required to supply, install and commission the new hardware and provide new Application Software, which would convert the current software to a more user-friendly format. In addition to this there would also be a need to purge the system of any obsolete configuration and provide additional functionality where required.
