Work description
Test Valley Borough Council has existing Conservation Areas in Andover and Romsey . Andover's Conservation Area was designated in 1969 and extended 1984. Romsey's Conservation Area was designated in 1970 and extended in 1983. The Council is seeking to review these Conservation Areas and to produce Conservation Area Appraisals (and Management Plans) for them to ensure they are up to date (including being in accordance with the latest guidance) and take account of significant changes in the towns since their designations (including new development).
The new Conservation Area Appraisals (CAAs) must be robust documents suitable to help guide, direct and assist in the policy and spatial planning and development management of these towns.
The Council is undertaking this procurement to appoint a suitably qualified consultant to prepare the revised and updated Conservation Area Assessments. The Council intends to award to the bidder that offers the best value to them, which will include that it meets the criteria set out in this Brief.
