Work description
Border Force (BF) is a Directorate of the Home Office. BF operate a fleet of five (5) Cutters. One of these Cutters, HMC Protector (Telka Class), has a requirement for a period works.
The full package of works required is detailed in the attached Statement of Requirements (SoR) - C17920 - SoR - HMC Protector - CAPUP - vf4.
Following this sourcing exercise based on written quotation, this contract will commence on week beginning the 30th March 2020. Upon successful acceptance of HMC Protector by the supplier, the work package is required to be undertaken between week beginning 30th March 2020 and 21st March 2020 in line with the Cutters' operational working pattern. Border Force envisage this works package taking no longer than fourteen (14) days.
The package is to be undertaken in the following geographic areas; 1. UK - Between Falmouth and Great Yarmouth.
Bidders are required to submit their written quotations in both .pdf and .docx formats.
The purpose of this notice is to make the SoR available to, and invite, potential suppliers to confirm they can fully meet the requirements by providing a fully itemised written quotation for the complete and specified work package. The quotation is to be submitted in currency, GBP.
Those potential suppliers are invited to send an email to; Ian McDermott, Home Office Commercial at Ian.Mcdermott@homeoffice.gov.uk , confirming their interest in this opportunity, providing the itemised quotation, in addition to confirmation of yard availability on the stated dates. Furthermore, confirmation of agreement to the Home Office Standard Short Form Services Terms and Conditions (C17920 - T&Cs - HMC Protector - CAPUP) on which the contract will be awarded is required.
Quotations should also be accompanied by a Cardinal Date Plan (CDP) as stated in the SoR, section 5.9. All required documentation should be submitted via email to Ian McDermott, at the address above, no later than: 1200hrs GMT, Tuesday 24th March 2020.
