Work description

International Nursing and Midwifery Associations (INMAs) are country-specific organisations that provide support to internationally-educated nurses and midwives working within the NHS. Staffed by nurses and midwives currently working in the NHS and from the same countries whose nurses/midwives they support, these organisations:

Provide advice, support and signposting to nurses and midwives arriving and working in England. Use a range of methods to seek feedback and intelligence from nurses/midwives on the barriers and challenges they face integrating into and working in the NHS in England. Represent the interests of frontline staff to the national NHSE international nurse recruitment programme. This training programme - delivered to approx. 100 INMA members, including all 26 leaders plus an average of 3 additional members per INMA - will cover the following content:

Coaching and mentoring Collating and analysing qualitative insights Developing consensus among teams Influencing the policy development process
