The purpose of the contract is the refurbishment of Birchfield Gardens, Widnes. The works comprise refurbishment and restoration of site boundary structures including railings, gates - by Named Sub-Contractor - and masonry. Relaying of footpaths and edgings and improvements to the surface water drainage system throughout the site. Refurbishment of the pond including the removal of silt, extension of marginal planting areas and the installation of a bespoke aeration and circulation system to improve water quality. The removal and replacement of site furniture including entrance and interpretation signage, seating and waste bins. Soft landscape works including ornamental planting and reinstatement of soft landscape areas affected by the works. The location is Birchfield Gardens, Birchfied Road, Widnes.
