Work description
The South East Operations team of National Highways is responsible for two DBFO contracts. The M25 DBFO Contract, the largest road PFI (Private Finance Initiative) in Europe and the A249 DBFO.
National Highways are looking to appoint Consultants to provide services to assist the Department's Nominee [DN] in the execution of its duties in respect of both the M25 and the A249 DBFO (PFI) Contracts. These services will focus primarily on providing contractual and commercial compliance checks and advice. Other services may need to be provided on a call off basis, as and when instructed by the DN or falling out of the defined duties. The overall anticipated duration of this agreement is for a 33- month period with the option to extend by one further year. The successful Consultant shall: 1. On appointment, already be familiar with current National Highways standards and procedures (demonstrated through quality submission as part of the assessment process). 2. On appointment, already be familiar with highway asset management strategy and practice (demonstrated through quality submission as part of the assessment process). 3. On award, familiarise itself fully with the DBFO Contract data and DBFO Contract documents produced by National Highways. Within two weeks of award be able to provide National Highways and the DN with advice on and support to the DBFO contract.
