## Description

effield City Council wishes to commission perinatal mental health peer support for women who are pregnant or parents of a child aged up to 2 years, who have mental health needs in the perinatal period or who are struggling emotionally\. A formal diagnosis would not be required to access this help\. The aims of the service are to: i\. Improve maternal mental health ii\. Improve attachment between mothers and their babies iii\. Reduce social isolation iv\. Improve the self-confidence of both mothers and volunteers\.
