Work description
Award of a call off contract under the Prison Education Dynamic Purchasing System for a new intervention programme aimed at supporting prisoners in building healthier relationships and making more positive life choices. The programme will involve: - Peer Mentoring Training: Prisoners will be trained to become peer mentors, focusing on developing interpersonal and emotional skills. - Accredited Qualification: The training must lead to a Level 3 qualification, equivalent to City & Guilds Level 3. - Focus Areas: - Managing and disengaging from gang affiliations - Developing coping strategies and skills for use both in custody and after release - Encouraging positive behavioural change Resettlement Preparation: The programme must also prepare participants for life after prison, with a strong emphasis on: - Employment readiness - Skills for reintegration into the community
