Work description
Knutsford Town Council is looking to create a shared use path from the Moor to Mallard Close. The path will be 3m wide and approximately 415m in length. The surface must be suitable for cycling and wheelchairs e.g. a self-binding gravel or similar.
The path currently runs through an area of woodland/overgrowth and is boggy in parts. The gradient steepens towards Mallard Close.
The contractor will be responsible for the full deliver of the path including:
a) Site management b) Site clearance and groundworks c) Installation of path d) Management of the gradient and drainage/bridging Works would be likely to be undertaken from Spring 2019.
The tender submission must include a detailed method statement outlining a step-by-step guide as to how the works will be undertaken including to tackle the drainage and the steepness of the gradient. The tender submission must confirm that a site visit has been undertaken.
