## Description

The ROS Maintenance contract \(ref:- PPRO 04/09/35\) expired on 31/01/16\. An extension of 2 months \(until 31/03/16\) was approved while we went out to tender for a new contract\. A G-cloud search did not identify a new supplier because a more detailed specification was required\. Following advice from the Digital Team and Procurement, and due to the complexity of the system and potential risks associated with system unavailability, I am seeking to let a new contract via STA\. An Invitation To Tender was sent to the existing supplier based on a revised specification\. This contract will be for 1 year with the option to extend for up to 6 months to allow for a transition / handover period following the possible introduction of a new system in 2017 due to new legislation changes being introduced in April 2017\.
