Description
Calderdale College seeks to procure six Specialist Business Skills Consultants (SBSC) with a good understanding of the Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing sector and its sub-sectors in the Leeds City Region (LCR). Each SBSC will undertake dialogue with Small to Medium Enterprise employers to complete a comprehensive business skills audit. They need to have the knowledge to ensure a meaningful conversation with employers in the Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing sector to establish a level of trust and mutual understanding. The Project will gather insights, evaluate and understand the impact that Covid-19 and Brexit have had upon the sector, as well as gathering intelligence on existing and future skills needs of individual businesses. This insight will inform a Business Skills Audit to scope the technical knowledge required by the sector to fulfil business need now and in the future and the personal skills associated with behaviours, attitudes and attributes desired by employers. This project is funded via a project called Let's Talk Real Skills (LTRS). LTRS is funded by the European Social Fund.
