Description
Southend-on-Sea City Council (the Council) are seeking electronic tender responses, as part of a competitive procurement process, to appoint a Contractor to support in the provisioning of the Council's food hygiene and food standards inspections of Food Business Establishments. The suitably qualified Contractor will be required to provide trained Inspectors to undertake food hygiene and food standards inspections and associated activities (Inspections). The minimum competencies and requirements required of each Inspector and the Contractor are confirmed in Section B (Specification) of the Tender Documents. The Contractor will also be required to ensure the competency of each Inspector on an ongoing basis in relation to hazard spotting and the health and safety issues evident at the time of an inspection. Other requirements and detail relating to the proposed Contract such as reporting, legislative compliance, record keeping, data protection, Social Value and contract management are covered as part of the Tender Documents. The Tender Documents can be accessed via: https://procurement.southend.gov.uk/southend/portal.nsf/index.htm The deadline for receipt of clarification requests relating to the Tender Documents: 14:00 Friday 6th December 2024 The deadline for submission of Tender Responses is: 14:00 Tuesday 17th December 2024 The Minimum Level Requirements of the procurement process are covered in detail in the Tender Documents provided. This includes, but is not limited to the required documentation to be submitted, Financial Standing, Insurance and all mandatory requirements. In regard to the evaluation the elements which are "scored" or "pass / fail" are fully explained within the documentation provided as part of the procurement process.
