America is the single most important source market in value terms and represents the second largest market for visitor numbers. Visits and spend from America have grown over the last 5 years but still lag significantly behind the peak numbers recorded in 2000. VisitBritain has aspirations to drive this continued growth but with relatively small budgets spread thinly across such a huge country we require specific market and consumer insights to help tailor marketing activities and efforts.
