Work description
Contract to upgrade the current dental teaching facility in the Chichester Medical Education Centre (CMEC) to ensure and enhance high quality dental education for regional dental trainees, dental practitioners and the wider dental workforce. An 11 bay teaching facility already exists in CMEC but the equipment is out dated, the compressors do not function well and it does not maximise the space available.
The Trust is seeking to replace this facility with 18 bays, fully equipped with the most modern teaching equipment available. There is currently sufficient space within the existing footprint to install 17 teaching bays and 1 main fully equipped teaching station. To get the additional space required the small adjoining staff kitchen next to the dental teaching space will need to be relocated and the adjoining dental surgery room moved nearer to the dental lab .( ie. the staff kitchen and dental surgery to swap spaces).
