Safer Sleep Cot Provision

The overall aim of this service is to ensure that a safe sleeping environment is provided to families, identified by Health Visitors, who are unable to provide their own. The Provider will receive referrals from Health Visitors to supply and fit the cots to the families identified. This will include the cot, mattress, two sheets and two blankets. Safer sleep information initially given by the Health Visitor will be reinforced at the fitting. At 1-2 weeks post fitting, a follow up visit will be conducted to ensure that the cot is still in situ, safer sleep practices are being followed and any referrals to other services are identified and actioned.
