Work description

Tavistock Town Council invites Expressions of Interest from contractors with skills and capability in heritage conservation projects to oversee the repair and restoration of the Grade2 listed Pannier Market, Tavistock, Devon, PL19 0AL. The Pannier Market is owned and managed by Tavistock Town Council and the repair and restoration work is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund via Tavistock Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI). The scheme comprises re-roofing works in natural slate, including adding insulation to the roof, local timber repairs and overhauling roof-lights; joinery repairs to windows and louvres; installing new automatic doors; replacement of rainwater goods; and re-pointing and stone repairs to external walls. The contract value is in the region of GBP750,000. The project will start in May 2017 for completion by end November 2017. Interested contractors are required to submit a Selection Questionnaire (SQ). Contractors will be selected from the SQ process and invited to tender for the scheme.
