Removal of office waste (including recyclables) and confidential waste

Description

1.1.1 The London Borough of Hounslow Council seeks to appoint a Contractor for the removal and recycling of its office waste streams and confidential waste from 7 operational sites. The London Borough of Hounslow believes that a fully implemented waste management solution should offer far more to the organisation than simply disposing of a waste stream. It should look to create a sustainable system through the recycling and potential reuse of materials and reducing our carbon footprint, reducing current costs, and enhancing the environmental profile of the organisation. 1.1.2 The London Borough of Hounslow works to promote equality, sustainable procurement and improving the local economy and expects its contractors and suppliers to have and to promote similar policies and values. The London Borough of Hounslow expects the Contractor to demonstrate value for money and to drive down costs in real terms by maximising the efficiencies of scale.
