Street OutReach

This specification is for the Street Outreach Navigator component of the London Borough of Hackneys wider Rough Sleepers Support Service for people sleeping rough or at risk of sleeping rough in the borough. The team will identify and engage with people sleeping rough in Hackney and in need or want of assistance with getting into accommodation and off the streets. Rough sleeping is harmful, dangerous, and limits an individuals life chances. The London Borough of Hackney therefore believes that nobody should have to sleep on our streets, and that Rough Sleeping is not acceptable in our borough. In 2020 the Office of National Statistics reported the average life expectancy of men who were rough sleeping to be 45.9 years, this reduced to 43.4 years for women.
