Work description
The Tower Block Dirty Utility Conversion works at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital comprise the conversion of existing dirty utility rooms into bin stores as part of remedial measures to improve fire safety. The scope of works includes isolating and draining down the hot and cold-water services; removing redundant pipework, fittings and waste connections serving the sluice sink; stripping out the existing worktop and wall-mounted fixtures; isolating and removing socket fronts to facilitate the installation of floor-to-ceiling white rock wall cladding with jointing strips; reinstating socket fronts upon completion; providing Chapter 8 barriers to the lift lobby and ward access areas; checking that riser cupboard door locks and slip bolts are operational; and providing a banksman as required.
