## Description

The National Travel Survey \(NTS\) is a high quality voluntary survey of private households in England\. It is the main source of data on personal travel within Great Britain and has been assessed and branded National Statistics\. The purpose of the NTS is to inform all interested parties, within and outside government, on how and why different sectors of the population travel, and how this changes over time\.
