2023-055 Technical and Commercial Work for Decommissioning Offshore Wind

Ofgem requires a review of the current approach to the decommissioning of offshore cables and OSP foundations followed in other EU jurisdictions (Denmark, Germany and Netherlands). The supplier needs to assess the cost of removing offshore cables from the seabed, including those at cable crossings and underneath rock berms, and the environmental implications of doing so. Lastly, Ofgem required a supplier to evaluate the likely cost and environmental implications of removing OSP platforms from the seabed.
