DCMS wish to undertake an analysis of existing powers, regulations and legislation to identify whether there are any legal gaps to the government's ability to provide digital identities. We also need to understand better how regulation could be undertaken of those responsible for providing digital identities and what provision is needed to ensure parties have a right to redress.
