Work description
Tendring District Council is working to grow the District's economy and its associated business base by investing in a range of business support products in order to encourage and foster economic growth through: supported; enhanced; invigorated; and focussed business activity.
As part of its approach the Council has ambitious plans to establish a Covered Market and Managed Workspace facility in Jaywick Sands for which it has secured funding via SELEP under the Government's GBF scheme of circa £2.0m. It is envisaged that the facility will provide space for a covered market and managed work space for new and established businesses.
Tendring District Council is now seeking to select a suitably skilled and experienced Operating Partner to initially support the detailed design and layout work that will need to be undertaken by the Council's Professional Team as part of this project, and in the fullness of time, to market, operate and manage the facility once the construction works are underway and/or completed.
In addition to this opportunity, the Council (under its Tendring4Growth initiative) is keen to explore the potential for its Operating Partner (or a separate contractor) to provide a comprehensive range of business support and outreach services (Information, Advice and Guidance), to emerging and established businesses across the district.
