Refurbishment of Civic Centre Lifts

AWARD - The tender shall be for the refurbishment of the Civic Centre (Uxbridge, UB8 1UW) core lifts and the hydraulic goods lift and will include: The complete supply, installation and testing of the lift works detailed in the tender document. The Lift Contractor shall include for all necessary materials, labour and associated plant and apparatus for the completion of the specified works on site. The lifts shall provide independent and dignified access that shall not discriminate use by the infirm, those heavily lade or caring for infants/small children or those with physical, sensory or mental impairment. The lifts shall also be practically designed to be used without difficulty and be aesthetically pleasing, utilising heavy duty, durable and fire-resistant materials that can be easily cleaned. Automatic power operated horizontally sliding doors shall be provided, with the protection of electronic infra-red safety edge detectors to prevent the doors from closing if obstructed. Contract commencement: July 2023.
