Description
The Project is taking an imaginative and intelligent approach to road safety. It is a combined project with Hull Council and LCC as both cities have high rates of pedestrian casualties. Liverpool City Council and Hull City Council are working with Behavioural Science Consultancy So-Mo and design agency Smiling Wolf, to design, build, test and refine a number of temporary 'nudges' which will be installed and later removed from pedestrian crossings in Liverpool and Hull. The work is being conducted with the support of the Department for Transport who are providing strategic guidance and are interested in the potential for wider application should proof of concept be achieved. LCC are leading on the Procurement Process and re charging cost to Hull. A detailed spec has been provided by SoMo. The road markings must conform with the standards detailed in the spec.
