Measuring Residential Fixed-Line Broadband Performance in the UK

Ofcom has collected and published information regarding the performance of UK fixed broadband connections since 2008. We have previously used a hardware-based solution to do this, but we welcome suggestions for alternative approaches and are open to using other methodologies, including software-based solutions and those using a mixture of hardware and software.

Any contract(s) awarded following the conclusion of the tender process will be for an initial duration of two years. At Ofcom's absolute discretion, the contract may be extended for up to three further periods of up to twelve months each
