Safer Sleep Cot Provision

The overall aim of this service is to ensure that families identified by the Health Visitors in Blackburn with Darwen, that are unable to provide a safe sleeping space for their baby, are provided with the equipment necessary to provide a safe sleeping environment. This will be achieved through provision of a cot or cot bed (depending on size required by the family), and reinforcing the safer sleep guidance initially provided by the Health Visitors. Additionally, a follow up visit will be provided to ensure the cot is being used safely and additional onward referrals are identified and actioned where appropriate.
